White Bean Turkey Chili

1 tablespoon of canola oil
2 cups of diced onion
2 tablespoon of chili powder
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
2 teaspoons of cumin powder
1 teaspoon of ground oregano
6 cups of cooked white beans (canario, caballero, panamito)
4 cups of chicken broth
3 cups of chopped cooked turkey (or chicken, ground beef, ground turkey)
3 tablespoons of fresh lime juice
1 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper

Heat oil in a large dutch oven over medium high heat. Add onion; saute 10 minutes or until tender and golden. Add chili powder, garlic and cumin powder, saute for 2 minutes. Add oregano and beans; cooks for 30 seconds. Add broth, bring to a simmer. Add turkey and simmer for 25 minutes. Add lime juice, salt and pepper. Garnish with diced tomato, chopped cilantro, avocado. Serves 8.
